EH301 USB READER
Product Brief
EH301 is designed as an external USB input device that read EM4100 and HID 125K proximity cards.It has total 40 formats which are selectable by user.

AWID Low frequency Credentials ----- Prox Wafer Disc , Clam Shell Card , Key Tag , Graphic Card. For AWID only 26 bit and 34 bit format is suppored.
EM4100 or EM compatible
. Output interface:
USB HID device, driver-free, emulate keyboard input to send card data to the cursor location. Support Windows,Linux, iOS, Android (OTG adapter is required)
. Configurable output format by config card, Total 40 formats.
. Configurable to enable or disable buzzer sound
. Configurable to suit QUERTY or AZERTY keyboard layout
. Default setting: 10 digital format, buzzer sound, QWERTY keyboard

How to config reader output format and settings
- Run an editable software, like NotePad
- Plug in reader to host
- Read the configuration card before reading any other card, reader will enter config mode automatically
- Format is appeared on window each second. When the demand Format(1-40) or function is appeared,
plug off reader immediately. New setting will be stored.
- Plug reader to host again, Reader will work in new setting
Remark:
This config process can be group into 4 groups.
Group 1: choice one output format from 1-40
Group 2: Enable or disable buzzer
Group 3: Set keyboard layout (QWERTY or AZERTY keyboard layout)
Group 4: Enable or disable HID raw data function
For each Group config process, must repeat step b to e.
Example, I want to set reader in format”2 2H-3D 4H-5D”, and want to disable buzzer, How to process?
- start step a-d, when “2 2H-3D 4H-5D” is appeared, plug off reader, to choice format 2
- repeat b to d, when “ disable buzzer” is appeared, plug off reader to save setting “ disable buzzer”
each groups setting process will not affect current setting of other groups.
What is the meaning of each format, like 2H-3D 4H-5D?
The ID data saved in card is binary, normally it is 40 bits Max. 4 bit binary is a hex number. So total 10 digit hex
we use “H” to indicate a hex data, use “D” to indicate a decimal data
2H-3D is mean take 2 Hex data and converter it into 3 digit decimal number, for example FF(HEX)=255(DEC)
4H-5D means take 4 Hex data to converter into 5 digit decimal number, such as FFFF(HEX)=65535 (DEC)
Below is the table that how to take different hex data to converter to decimal data:

How to converter Hex data to Decimal data?
The simplest way is use windows program--- calculator
8H-10D: 2B3D4E5F(Hex) = 725438047(Dec)
Whe Reader is with short distance, pls. check:
- there is not another 125KHz RFID reader / writer near by EH301
- Reader is not put on metal surface(notebook or other metal surface desk)
- Reader is not put on anti-static surface desk
Why my reader sound becomes broken when puting fob on the reader case sometimes?
when fob is put on the surface of reader case, during buzzer sound, the metal ring on fob is vibration, cause buzzer sounds broken. Simple way is to leave the metal ring out side of the case, or leave it dose not touch case.
